Terms of Service

MetricTrail is a product analytics platform: tracking SDKs, a dashboard for exploring sessions, visitors, funnels, and metrics, and optional AI features. We provide the service "as is," subject to your plan's limits.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and project write keys confidential, and for all activity under them. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You are solely responsible for the visitor data you instrument and send to MetricTrail through your project — including ensuring you have a legal basis to collect it and that you do not send sensitive data categories (health, full financial data, passwords) in event properties. We reserve the right to suspend projects that violate this.

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through our payments processor (Dodo Payments). You may cancel at any time; paid-plan access continues through the end of the already-paid cycle. We do not prorate refunds for partial cycles except where required by law.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful activity or to violate third-party rights;
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or isolation between projects/workspaces;
• Reverse-engineer the SDKs beyond what their open-source license allows, where applicable.

We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated when possible.

You retain ownership of the data you send. You grant MetricTrail a limited license to process that data solely to provide the service to you. We retain ownership of the MetricTrail platform, brand, and software.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MetricTrail will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the triggering event.

You may delete your workspace at any time under Settings → Danger Zone, which permanently removes your projects and data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
